Students view their Year 8 Lesson 1 "Digital Me" card. Then their Year 9 final project. The growth is visible. Let that moment land.
Portfolio showcase: students display final projects (screen or printed). Class gallery walk with sticky note feedback (physical or Padlet). Then structured self-evaluation: across 2 years, rate yourself 1-5 on each of the 8 digital literacy strands from the curriculum. Pick your top 3 most-improved skills and write one sentence of evidence for each. Complete the "Letter to my GCSE self" — 3 digital skills to develop in Year 10 and why.
Teacher celebration: award recognitions — most creative, most improved, most technically impressive, most socially useful, most professionally presented. Every student receives something genuine. End with: "You are more digitally capable than most adults you know. Use it well."
Reflection: over two years, how has your relationship with AI changed? What do you know now that you didn't know in Year 8? What worries you? What excites you?

No homework. You've earned it. Optional: share your favourite project with someone outside school and teach them one thing you've learned.
Self-evaluation sentence starters for each skill strand
Create a "Digital Futures highlight reel" — a 60-second video showcasing their best work from across the 2 years, with narration.
Make this a genuine event. Consider inviting another teacher, form tutor or department head. Display student work in the corridor. This is a completion worth celebrating.
